The Process

First Step

​

We arrange a free consultation at either the Design + Build Co office or at your project site.

​

Here are a few things we will cover during the consultation:

​

​• Do you have a site survey?
• Have you engaged any consultants?
• Do you have an ideal budget?

• When would you like to commence your project?

Second Step

​

A face-to-face meeting will be arranged with our builders and designers so we can answer any of your questions and cover some of the below points.

 

• Floorplan
• Facades

• Inspiration
• Finishes

​

If all parties are comfortable, and all the above points are achievable, we will ask you to sign a contract so we can start drawing your concept plans for pricing.

Third Step

​

 

Working from our initial meeting, we create a design concept to send across to our consultants (hydraulic engineer, BASIX consultant, landscape architect & town planner). 

​

Once we’ve received and collated feedback from our consultants, we then share the designs with you and allow for two amendments to make sure your vision is coming to life.

​

We then determine if the build comes under CDC or DA approval.

Fourth Step

​

Now that we have all our approved conditions from our consultants, we endeavour to create construction certificate plans 1:100 for submitting as CDC or DA – depending on compliance.

​

Please note, this process can take from 2-4 weeks for CDC, or up to 6 months for DA approval.
